Stunning design involves collaboration between experienced partners who can bring an industrial vision to life for their clients. Dekko is privileged to have worked with the best architects, builders and industry leaders to innovate new design methods and exceed clients’ expectations.
One such partner is Grossi Construction. Grossi is a third-generation construction company that specializes in working with commercial industrial companies to design manufacturing office spaces. Dekko has completed more than 20 projects in partnership with Grossi.
Our latest collaboration with Grossi involved designing custom concrete cladding for the offices of the Uni-Fab custom metal fabrication company.
The Challenge
For this project, Grossi needed to create a modern, elegant industrial design that wasn’t cold or institutional. Their client, Uni-Fab, wanted to upgrade their offices using modern materials. This would provide visual cues to associate the brand with sophistication, quality and style.
Dekko designers rose to the challenge and worked with Grossi to create custom interior concrete cladding panels in the Ash colorway. The fluted cladding panels also included a special custom mold with the Uni-Fab logo. This mold was used when creating the panels to integrate the corporate name seamlessly into the cladding.
For this project, Dekko created:
- Custom commercial branded interior concrete cladding panels
- Fluted cladding
- Cladded panel walls and pillars behind and above the main entrance desk with custom logo
- Cladded panel wall in stairwell
- Cladded panels along the ceiling
- Square columns and a custom round column
Dekko also helped to install everything on-site. Easy turn-key installation is one of the many benefits of a design collaboration like this one.
Bringing a Unique Design to Life
According to Anthony Grossi, the design was inspired by the client, who provided inspirational photos and a general idea of what the finished project would look like.
He said, “They wanted something outside of the box. Unique, timeless, something that sets them apart from their competitors. When you walk into a facility, the architecture speaks for itself and lends itself to the type of business that runs there. First impressions are everything — it shows their dedication to their work.”
Dekko designers love a challenge and work hard to bring every customer’s dream to life. Anthony chose Dekko for this challenge because of the long history of collaboration between Dekko and Grossi.
Partnering With Dekko
Dekko and Grossi Construction have been partners on close to 20 projects. When asked why he returns to Dekko repeatedly, Anthony Grossi said, “We do a lot of contemporary work and Dekko always comes through. “
He added, “We wanted to integrate concrete into the design. The material is always spot on. We love to use Dekko on projects but do customizations to maintain uniqueness.”
The biggest challenge in this project was creating a focal point on the stairs. A glass elevator is attached to the stairs, and it’s the first thing anyone sees when they walk in. Dekko provided a stylish three-level concrete casing that makes the stairs a showstopper.
When asked about the project’s challenges, Anthony said that creating a cohesive design that integrates everything the client wants and works with the existing structure is always challenging. But, he added, “The Dekko team just finds a way to nail the design and pull through.”

The Results
Dekko and Grossi worked closely together to create a unique concrete cladding that exemplifies Uni-Fab’s values. From the moment people walk in, they can see Uni-Fab’s commitment to quality and style.
When asked if their client was pleased with the result, Anthony Grossi said that when Grossi works with Dekko to bring a design to life, the client’s expectations are always exceeded.
“ ‘No’ is not in their vocabulary,” He said. “No matter how hard or creative the project is, they’ll get the job done. There’s not enough to say about their commitment to making designs come to life.”
He continued, “Their service goes above and beyond. Dekko is always right there when an issue occurs. There’s never a ‘we can’t do that’ answer. No matter the complexity, they always figure out a way to do that.”
